Overexertion (The Doctor x Reader)
Your knees buckled, and you hit the ground. The impact was lost on you, already in unbearable pain. There was a throbbing behind your eyes, a burning in your skull, that would not go away. You were dying, motionless and limp, and you welcomed the darkness looming over your vision.
Where was he? He said he’d be here. You clenched your fists in indignation, but the effort was too much, and they went slack again.
You turned your head a bit, letting your cheek rest on the cool floor. The only form of solace you were getting, it seemed. Your hair splayed out on the ground, messy, damp with your sweat.
Exhaustion.
You were done.
